Wix Editor: Keyboard Shortcuts in the Editor

Use keyboard shortcuts in the editor to manage your elements, tools, and pages. There are shortcuts available for general editor use, as well as editing text.

General editor shortcuts
The below keyboard shortcuts are available in your editor:

Ctrl + D | Duplicate |
Delete Backspace | Delete the element |
Ctrl + ↓ | Move backward |
Ctrl + ↑ | Move forward |
Ctrl + Shift + ↓ | Send to back |
Ctrl + Shift + ↑ | Bring to front |
←, ↑, →, ↓ | Move the element by a single pixel (i.e. nudge) |
Shift + ↑, ↓ | Move the element by 10 pixels |
Ctrl + Z | Undo |
Ctrl + Y | Redo |
Ctrl + Shift + M | Select next element |
Ctrl + M | Select previous element |
Ctrl + click element in the editor | Select the element directly, skipping the section/strip/container it's attached to |
Shift + click elements | Select multiple elements |
Hold Shift while rotating element | Rotate the element in 15° increments |
Hold Shift while dragging element | Keep the element aligned on the same x or y axis |
Ctrl + S | Save |
Ctrl + P | Preview |
Shift + F | Hide / show editor controls |
Ctrl + J | Switch between mobile / desktop views |
Shift + R | Hide / show the rulers |
Alt + Drag | Duplicate and drag the new element |
Ctrl + Alt + A | Enable / disable autosave |
Esc while dragging, resizing or rotating | Cancels the action |
