Wix Bookings: Setting Your Booking Policy
With your booking policy, you can set how far in advance, and how close to a single session, your clients can book. You can also set restrictions on how close to your services your clients can cancel or reschedule.
Let's look at an example: You limit the booking window to seven days in advance but not less than 48 hours before the session. If a client tries to book 6 weeks in advance, they see a message explaining when they can book the session.

Step 1 | Set how far clients can book in advance
By limiting your booking window, you can prevent clients from booking too many days in advance. This makes it easier for you to plan for future scheduling changes, such as vacations or special events.
To limit how far in advance clients can book sessions:
- Go to Booking Policy in your site's dashboard.
- Enable the Limit Early Bookings toggle.
- Select how many days, hours, and minutes before a session a client is able to book.

Step 2 | Limit last-minute bookings
Limiting last-minute bookings can help if you or your staff needs to travel to a different location or prepare equipment before a session.
To limit last-minute bookings:
- Go to Booking Policy in your site's dashboard.
- Select how many days, hours, and minutes before a session a client is able to book under Limit late bookings.

Step 3 | Set your cancelation policy
Set how close to a service you allow clients to cancel or reschedule, and let clients know your policy by adding a note to your service pages.
To set your cancelation policy:
- Go to Booking Policy in your site's dashboard.
- In the Cancelation & Rescheduling section, select how many days, hours, and minutes before a service where clients can cancel or reschedule.
Tip: The policy applies to all types of services. - Enter your cancelation policy.
Note: Customers can read the policy by clicking the Cancelation Policy link when they book a service.

Tips:
- You can customize the text of your cancelation emails.
- Add a Members Area to your site so clients can cancel and reschedule online. They can also book new services without re-entering their information.
Step 4 | Display your cancelation policy
Once you set your cancelation policy in the dashboard, make sure you display it on your service page using the Editor. This way your clients know what to expect if they need to cancel a session after booking.

To display your cancelation policy:
- Go to the Service Page in the Editor:
- Wix Editor:
- Click Pages and Menu
on the left side of the Editor.
- Click Event Pages.
