Troubleshooting Errors When Connecting Your Site to Bing

Bing can only verify live, published websites. Re-publish your site and retry the connection.

Bing cannot verify your site because your domain isn’t properly connected to Wix. Make sure your domain is connected to Wix, confirm that your site loads correctly by entering it in a browser, and retry the connection.

Bing tried to verify ownership of your site but couldn’t find the verification tag or sitemap. Make sure you completed the SEO Assistant task to connect to Bing, and retry the verification in Bing Webmaster Tools.

The URL you entered in Bing does not match your Wix site’s primary domain. Check which domain is set as your primary domain in Wix, and enter the exact same URL in Bing Webmaster Tools.

Bing couldn’t locate your site’s sitemap. Make sure your sitemap is live at: https://www.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml. If you recently published your site, wait a few hours and try again, then retry adding the sitemap in Bing Webmaster Tools.

Bing couldn’t reach your site due to a temporary server or network issue. Wait a few minutes and try again, confirm your site loads normally in a browser, and retry the connection.
