Transferring a .co.uk Domain to Wix
When you transfer your .co.uk domain to Wix, Wix becomes your domain host. This means your domain's contact information, DNS settings, and registration payments are all managed from within your Wix account.
For .co.uk domains, you need to change the domain's IPS tag name with your current domain host before transferring it to Wix. This process does not involve an authorization code (EPP code) like with other domain transfers.
You need access to your current domain host’s account to change the IPS tag. If you can’t make the change yourself, your domain host can do it for you.
To transfer your .co.uk domain to Wix:
Go to Domains in your Wix account.
Click Add an Existing Domain and select Transfer your domain to Wix.
Read the information on your screen and click Start Transfer.
Enter the domain you want to transfer (e.g. mystunningwebsite.com).
Click the drop-down and select the domain host you purchased your domain from.
Click Continue.
Log in to your account with your current domain host.
Tip: Do this in a different browser tab and keep your Wix account tab open.Change your domain's IPS tag to TUCOWS-CA in your domain host’s account.
(In your Wix account) Select the I logged in and I updated it checkboxes to confirm you have completed those steps.
Click Continue.
Check and/or edit your contact information. Then, click Continue.
Select your payment method and click Submit Purchase.
Once you've submitted the purchase, an email is sent from wix-team@registrar.wix.com to your domain's registrant email, confirming the transfer has been initiated. It may take up to 7 days for your domain transfer to complete.
