Connecting Your Domain to the Wix Name Servers

Connect your domain to Wix by changing its name servers. With this connection method, Wix hosts your DNS, while your domain remains registered with its current registrar. 
Before you begin:
To connect your domain, you must  upgrade your site.
Need to connect your domain without changing name servers?
Alternatively, you can connect your domain using the pointing method to keep your DNS hosted outside of Wix. Learn more about the differences between pointing vs. name servers connections.

To connect a domain to the Wix name servers:

  1. Click Settings from the top bar of the Wix Editor.
  2. Click Connect Domain.
  3. Click Add an Existing Domain.
  4. Click Connect a domain you already own.
  5. Enter your domain in the search bar and click the arrow icon .
  6. Click connect it to your site in the sentence below the search field.
  7. Click Continue or Start

Note:
It may take up to 48 hours for your domain to be visible worldwide. Learn more about domain propagation.
