Elements Supported when Converting a Page from Static to Dynamic
1 min read
A dynamic page contains elements that link to fields in a collection. When you convert a static page to a dynamic page, the system scans for supported elements.
Currently, the following elements are supported:
- Text
- Images
- Galleries in the Wix Editor that are not pro galleries.
The following elements cannot be converted to dynamic elements during the process of converting a static page to a dynamic page:
- Unsupported elements
- Elements already linked to a field in a collection
- Elements added after the scan
- Elements in headers, footers, or master sections (in the Studio Editor)
Important:
After the conversion, you can add more elements to your page and convert them to dynamic elements by connecting them to the dataset. Click the Connect to CMS icon to connect an element to a dataset and the relevant collection fields. You can also connect unsupported elements that were already on the page, such as buttons, repeaters, galleries, and tables.
