Editor X: About Autosave

2 min read
Editor X is transitioning to Wix Studio, our new platform for agencies and freelancers.Learn more about Wix Studio
Editor X automatically saves your site as you're working so you never have to worry about losing your progress. This makes the design process much more convenient, and allows a smoother process when collaborating on the same site with other people.

How autosave works

Editor X automatically saves your site after every change you make. On the top bar, you can see an indication that Autosave is automatically enabled.
Image showing Editor X toolbar. Highlight around text that sayd 'All changes are autosaved'.
When collaborating with people on the same site, Autosave ensures your updates are synced and displayed in real time. As you can see each other's changes within seconds, design and content conflicts are less likely to happen.
Important:
Autosave is automatically enabled on your Editor X site and cannot be disabled.

Viewing saved versions of your site

You can always go back and review your work that was saved in the background. From the Site History panel, you can see all of your site's autosaved versions. Each version is comprised of around 30 recent changes and labeled by the date and time it was saved.
