Developer Request: Retrieving Plugin Slot Placement Information via API

Collecting votes
Currently, developers aren't able to identify which specific slot a site plugin is placed in. Since pages can have multiple plugin slots, developers lack the context needed to optimize their plugin's functionality.

While the existing Placement Status V1 API indicates whether a plugin is placed on a page, it doesn't provide slot-specific details.

A new API under Site Plugins that returns slot placement information would address this gap, allowing developers to:
  • Provide context-aware functionality or styling based on the slot location.
  • Understand if specific slots are populated.
  • Make informed decisions about how their plugin should behave in different placements.

We are always working to update and improve our products, and your feedback is greatly appreciated.
