Currently, it is not possible to issue an API Key with scoped permissions. All API Keys include broad access, with no distinction between read and write operations. Supporting granular scope selection would give site owners more control over the access they grant for each integration, and minimize security risks in the event of key misuse or compromise. In the meantime, you can create and install a Wix App on a site and set up OAuth authentication, which allows for granular permission scope selection.
