Content Manager: Accessing Your Optional Sandbox and Live Collections

Each of your site's collections has two versions, an optional Sandbox version and a Live version. Both versions have the same structure yet contain different content. 

Your Sandbox is a test collection you can use with the Editor while building your site. The content is not public unless you sync the Sandbox collection to your Live collection. 

The Live collection is the collection that displays content on your live site for your visitors to view and interact with.

Accessing your Sandbox collection

  1. Go to the Content Manager in your Editor:
    • Wix Editor: Click Content Manager  on the left side of the Editor.
    • Editor X: Click Content Manager  at the top of Editor X.
  2. Click Collections.
  3. Click the Settings icon .
  4. Click Advanced Settings.

  1. Click the Sandbox toggle.
  2. Click Content Manager at the top to return to the main Content Manager page.
  3. Select the collection you want to access.
  4. (Optional) Manage your Content Collection.

Accessing your live collection

  1. Go to the Content Manager in your Editor:
    • Wix Editor: Click Content Manager  on the left side of the Editor.
    • Editor X: Click Content Manager  at the top of Editor X.
  2. Click Collections.
  3. Click the collection you want to manage.
