CMS: Deleting and Restoring Database Collections for GDPR

To ensure compliance with GDPR regulations, the following occurs when you remove and restore database collections on your site:

Collection removed | Save | Sandbox collection permanently deleted 7 days after save |
Collection removed | Publish | Live collection permanently deleted 7 days after publish |
Collection restored within 7 days of removal | Save | Sandbox collection not deleted |
Collection restored within 7 days of removal | Publish | Live collection not deleted |
Important:
Only a manual save (not autosave) affects whether a collection is deleted or restored.
