Changing Your Site's Name in Search Results

2 min read
The name that appears for your site in search results is the title tag of your homepage. If you have not entered a title tag, your site name is automatically displayed.

If you want to change the name that appears in search results, you'll need to change your homepage title tag.
Important:
Google uses a number of sources to automatically choose the name that displays in search results for your site. While your homepage's title tag can influence what Google chooses, other factors can influence it such as the content of your site, your site's heading tags, and the structured data markup on your site.

To change your homepage title tag:

  1. Go to your homepage's SEO Settings:
2.  Enter the title tag under What's the page's title tag (title in search results)?.
3.  Click Publish at the top right of the Editor.
Important:
Search engines will update your page's title tag the next time that they crawl your site. If you want to try to speed up the process, you can submit your page's URL to search engines.
