Adding or Updating SPF Records in Your Wix Account

Add or edit a Sender Policy Framework (SPF) record if instructed to do so by your email host. SPF records are TXT records used to prevent spammers from sending unauthorized emails.
Important:
  • The SPF record type is no longer used by all platforms. For this reason, it's best to add SPF records in the TXT section of your DNS records. 
  • You will need to contact your email provider in order to get your SPF record.

To add or update an SPF record:

  1. Go to Domains in your Wix account.
  2. Click the Domain Actions icon  next to the relevant domain.
  3. Click Manage DNS Records.

  1.  Click + Add Record in the TXT (Text) section.

  1. Click the Host Name field and enter the host name.
    Note: Leave this field blank if your provider tells you to add @ here.
  2. Click the Value field and enter the TXT value that your provider gave you.
  3. Click Save.
