1. What is a mini-page?
Mini pages allow you to insert a lot of content into the same page. They also allow your site visitors to browse through different pages without ever leaving the page they are currently on.
The mini page application gives a website a professional look and improves the interface.
2. How do I use the mini-page application?
Here are some basic steps for using a MiniPage.
You can use a MiniPage as a standalone website, or, use the MiniPage option as the only part in your website that will be dynamic. Thus enabling you to design a beautiful website that will be used as the background for your design, and then using the MiniPage option to define the only part of your website that will change according to your needs.
First click on "page parts"->choose the "mini page" feature-> and choose the "mini page" option. You should be able to see the mini page on the stage of your editor now. On the top of the mini page you'll find a bar that allows you to navigate between the slides of the mini page. What you need to do now, is to fill the mini page with content.
Please name the slides of the mini page according to the names of the buttons that should point to each slide (the next paragraph explains how to create the buttons), in order to name the mini page, click on the "manage" button and insert the relevant name.
Keep in mind: the mini page border turns white when it attaches the added content.
Once you're done placing the content in the mini page, you need to create buttons that that will navigate through the mini pages.
On the bottom of the screen you'll find a button that says "add menu", click on it and choose the menu you prefer.
That's it! Now you have a mini page with a menu bar that works.
Tip: Mini Pages load all their content at once, which can effect loading speeds. This will be resolved in the future, but for now be cautious with the number and size of photos or media players that you add to them.
3. Why does the content appear in all my mini-page pages?
You need to make sure that the content you're adding has been attached to the relevant slide. When pasting the content, make sure the mini page border turns white, which means the attachment was successful.
4. I want to add a menu to link all my mini pages. How do I do this?
Note: Do not use Page Parts > Menu. Click on your Mini Page in the editor and then click Add Menu (from the property panel on the bottom).
Then choose a menu you like and click OK. When it appears on the editor you can move it around and resize it as you do with regular menus.
5. How can I create a button that will lead me to a specific page in the mini-page
Use "go to state".
Simply click on “page parts”->”buttons (it doesn’t matter which button you choose)-> when the button appears in the editor, click on it and choose “behaviors”->”go to state” (“go to state” is the equivalent of "go to page". It allows you to link between mini page - pages. )-> “choose component”-> you need to choose the mini-page that you want to work with-> now you’ll see a list of the pages of that mini-page, simply mark the one you want-> you’ll see a green V sign that approves the action.
That’s it, now you have a button that leads to a specific page in the mini-page.
6. How do I change the Transition between the mini-page pages?
After creating the mini-page, you’ll notice a menu at the bottom of the screen. One of its buttons is called “Transitions”. Click on it and simply choose the desired Transition.
7. How can I play continuous music on my site?
When you want to play music continuously, you need to use a mini-page and place the music player outside of the mini-page.
Since only the dynamic part is moving between pages, your music player will not be affected and will keep on playing.
In any case, make sure you set the music player to play automatically at start, using the ‘settings’ icon in the bottom toolbar (after you click on the music playe).
8. How do I add a menu bar that allows me to navigate through the mini-page pages?
After creating the mini page and you need to name the slides according to the names of the buttons that should point to that slide. In order to name the mini page, click on the "manage" button and name each page with the appropriate name for it.
Now, on the bottom of the screen you'll find a button that says "add menu", click on it and choose one of the menus from the list.
That's it! Now you have a mini page with a menu bar that works.
9. How do I create an arrow or other shapes to turn pages?
Every feature that has the “behavior” option can be used as a button.
Simply click on the shape that you’ve chose-> on the bottom of the screen you’ll see the “behaviors” button, click on it-> choose the “next state” option-> “select component” -> select the desired mini-page and you’re done.
Now on each click the mini-page will turn a page.
10. How can I make the mini-page to turn pages automatically?
After creating the mini-page and editing it, click on the “settings” (bottom of the screen). Mark the box that says “auto play” and you’re done.
